Important: What’s Changing From 1st January 2026

We are making some important updates to Apostle subscriptions to help us roast, pack and deliver your coffee in a way that is better for the planet, more efficient for our small team, and more sustainable for the long-term future of the roastery.

Here’s a simple overview of what’s changing:

1. All 250g subscriptions will move to 500g bags

From 1st January 2026, we will no longer ship 250g subscription bags.

All Apostle subscriptions will now be offered in 500g or 1kg formats only.

2. You will still receive the same amount of coffee over the same period

If you currently receive 250g subscriptions, your delivery frequency will be adjusted automatically so that you continue to receive the same amount of coffee, just in fewer, larger, more sustainable shipments.

3. This change reduces waste and environmental impact

Moving to 500g and 1kg bags means:

  • Fewer deliveries
  • Fewer van journeys
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Less packaging
  • A smaller overall environmental footprint

4. Subscription pricing will now be aligned

All Apostle subscribers will now move to our current website pricing.

This ensures everyone pays the same fair rate and allows us to continue sourcing high-quality green beans while paying producers fairly and sustainably.

FAQs

–––––––––––––––––––––––

Why are 250g bags being discontinued?

Moving to 500g and 1kg formats allows us to reduce packaging waste, simplify our roasting process, minimise the number of deliveries we make, and significantly lower our environmental impact. It also helps us offer better value on a per-gram basis.

Will I still receive the same amount of coffee?

Yes. Your delivery frequency will automatically adjust so you continue to receive the same total amount of coffee over the same period of time — just delivered in fewer, larger batches.

Will this cost me more?

For many 250g subscribers, the new system actually reduces the cost per gram of coffee. While your per-delivery amount changes, your overall cost for the same amount of coffee often stays the same — and in some cases becomes better value.

Why are subscription prices changing?

We’ve kept our prices as low as we can, even as green coffee prices have risen by more than 30% over the past 12 months. To continue sourcing high-quality, ethically traded coffee — and to keep Apostle sustainable for the long term — we are now aligning all subscriptions to our current website pricing.

Does this change how often my payments are taken?

Your payment schedule may adjust slightly to match your new delivery frequency, but the total amount of coffee you receive per month or per cycle will remain the same.

Will my coffee still be roasted fresh?

Yes. These changes improve consistency, reduce waste, and ensures your coffee still arrives perfectly rested and ready to brew.

Are you still sourcing ethical and sustainable coffees?

Absolutely. Nothing is changing about our sourcing standards or relationships with producers. These updates help us continue buying coffee in a way that supports people and planet.

What if I only drink 250g every few weeks?

You can update your subscription frequency at any time or pause your subscription whenever you need to.
