Our Organic Espresso Blend comes from two areas of Colombia.
The first is grown at high altitudes by two cooperatives of indigenous coffee growers in Plandas and Gaitania south of Tolima – in what the locals call the ‘Factory of Clouds’. It is here that several rare and old varieties of coffee are produced by more than 240 families. They are the caretakers of one of the largest natural reserves in Colombia. This land and their beliefs, of caring for Mother Earth, make them the best allies to produce one of the most delicious coffees with organic principles in Colombia. They have associated, in several organizations of coffee producers, to promote the coffee culture, ensure the incomes of the families and strengthen the indigenous community.
The second is from the La Pradera and Santa Maria farms in Aratoca, in a region called Santander. In this stunning location, farmer Oscar Daza has taken the farm over from his father, José Rosario Daza and Oscar now heads a group of eight farms, four of which belong to his family. They all are certified organic and Bird Friendly.
